Intro to me, & Mind-Muscle Connection ~ 3 Mins

Intro to me, & Mind-Muscle Connection ~ 3 Mins

Why.

‘Without innovation the world stands still’. My first ever response from a cold-email outreach for a previous business I wanted to start at 18, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. ‘We’d love to get you on a call to chat about your idea, when are you available?’ the CEO of 'XYZ Health' said to me (that’s a made up company btw)… I’ve learned a lot since then. I’ve learned that I need to provide purpose with anything I create, otherwise, it’s pointless. I’ve also learned that others need to find purpose in what I create, to allow them to relate or benefit. So here we are. The blog surrounding the last two years of my life, a project which has soaked up every spare hour I have, turning my idea into a product to aid with human consumption of nutritional supplements & meal replacements.

Who.

I’m Joe, and I'm now 23, and navigating the world of entrepreneurialism with great difficulty, having soft-launched my company and first product, Intake Ltd., to gauge interest in my idea. I have always been a creative person, and have naturally progressed through the years at different levels of hardware creation; At 7 I loved Meccano electronics, When I was 10 I tried to build a robotic arm with great difficulty to put a video on Youtube, and at 12 I bought parts to build my own claw machine. At 16 I built an electric skateboard to aid with my impending commute to College, and at 17 I built my first FPV race drone. At 18 I learned Arduino which springboarded by creative mind and unlocked a virtually infinite array of possibilities for hardware development.

How.

But as I said before, this is pointless If I am not adding value to the universe. Everything I now create must have a purpose, which in-turn gives me purpose. The reason I’m writing this is to add to what I am creating for you, the reader, to provide insight, knowledge and personal stories to aid with your life in some way. I’m better at writing than I am speaking, and so this is the perfect place for me to start.

My goal for this brand is to achieve a level of notoriety within the fitness & wellness community, to provide some benefit of knowledge, visually compelling content or a product/service which aids the many rather than the few. The core purpose of the brand is to enable people to optimise their lifestyle and habits as well as their routine, to allow them to focus on what makes them happy. For example, Intake V1.0 exists to allow people to consume supplements more efficiently, and substitute a few of their meals with supplement fed from our dispensers, dispensed efficiently and predictively. They can then take this liquid meal substitute with them as they endeavour to better themselves as and wherever they please. This unlocks freedom and efficiency through a minor action, and has a huge benefit to the user if they change their mindset to allow this.

What.

Through reading this blog, I hope to bring you some personal comfort. As infinitely more people are consuming partially or fully automatically generated content, sometimes without realising, I can assure you that this blog will always come from my brain, nowhere else. It will hopefully provide you with some of my most vulnerable insights and understandings of the world, as well as what I have learned and will continue to learn in the future. The reason it is titled as it is, Mind-Muscle Connection, is to emphasise the development of myself, my attitudes and mental attributes, in conjunction with my fitness & wellbeing, as I encounter many bumps in my entrepreneurial road to wherever I’m going. It could be up, it could most certainly be down, but I’m sure it will be an interesting journey regardless. Thank you for reading this post to the end, I hope to see you in the next one, and remember; Fail Fast.

Ps. it's a top from Primark in the picture, not my brand.
